Qld Coal 2021 Level 1 Emergency Exercise Report Published at last

I checked out the Level 1 Emergency Report  webpage today and found out that my friends at RSHQ have decided that they would indeed publish the Report as required.

Here is a downloaded of the Report.

As I predicted on the 12th of August and asked the Senior RSHQ Officers the report was not published till after the Gold Coast Mining Safety and Health Conference talk fest was over.

It was published three days ago on the 29th of August.

I have just started reading it so will reserve any comment on its contents.

How good, bad or even embarrassing to the Industry after all the flowery words after the  Grosvenor Explosion remains to be seen?

The wider question and one that continues to be glossed over is

Has there been any improvement since the first Exercise in 1998 at Southern Colliery?

Or has the resources, training and preparedness got worse?

If so how is that possible?

My friends from RSHQ did not respond to my queries as to why the Report was not published, and did not have the common courtesy to inform me the Report had been published.

I would have thought organisations such as RSHQ and the Resources Department would have formal complaints systems mandating some sort of closing response.

Not even a note to say oh by the way Stuart we have published it.
