Grosvenor Board of Inquiry seems to already have a Pre-Ordained Outcome. Some sort of undetected PUR initiated heating reached over 500 Degrees Centigrade and open flame within seconds of a roof fall in the goaf
One thing is blatantly obvious will be one of the findings
It will go something like this
It has been decided that the risk of Frictional Ignition from rock on rock or rock on steel is low because the highest rated rock is only low to medium and that is 40 metres and more above the coal seam and Grosvenor only tested to 40 metres
But we have decided that there was a big goaf fall from around that height.
We cannot find anything Electrical that looks like the source of Ignition.
We are sure that the gas came from a goaf fall, no way the gas inrush could have come from a floor blower.
What about a small spontaneous combustion event that was never picked up by any gas data because they did not do any proper gas monitoring collection and analysis for spontaneous combustion?
Nothing that was ever smelled, nothing that generated excess Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen or Ethylene.
