Mines Department (RSHQ) Officer Finally In Contact About Searching Records For The Coal Mine Explosion Research Report.

Mines Department (RSHQ) Officer Finally in Contact about Searching Records for the Coal Mine Explosion Research Report.

Well some progress with the Mines Department.

They have finally delegated someone to be in official charge of a search of Departmental Records.

There are no prizes for guessing how long they have been with the Department (RSHQ) or how much Coal Mining background they have.

I can see this will take a while.

Excerpts from the Email Sent

This email has the referred to Cabinet Minute.
To aid in your search I have attached the first 8 or so Chapters of the Unofficial Ministerial Version.
Rather than re-explain the whole search it would be much easier for you to simply look at the relevant posts on my Webpage

The Initial Report got given to the Department in May 1990 and notified and buried after the Cabinet meeting of July 1990.
There is no Ministerial Diaries available at the State Archive for Minister Vaughan.
Let me be clear I am also asking if the Department has Relevant Ministerial Records from that time.
If you require any further assistance please feel free to contact me
