Grosvenor Mine is the Voldemort of the 2022 Qld Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference. Grosvenor must not be named.
The name Grosvenor has become the Voldemort of the Qld Mining Safety Conference that started yesterday on the Gold Coast.
The name/word Grosvenor does not appear anywhere in the 4 day program for speeches and papers. Not once.

Not by politicians, not by officers of RSHQ and the Inspectorate, not by Industry, Consultants or Simtars and certainly not by Anglo.
- The Inspectors who routinely Inspected Grosvenor Mine. This includes the now Deputy Chief Inspector.
- Neither of the two Inspectors who responded and attended Grosvenor Mine in the immediate aftermath, interacted with Senior Site and Corporate Management and issued the Directive for workers not to return underground.
Hopefully at least someone attending the Conference may ask the Conference Chair, Peter Newman (CIOCM), or Kate Du Preez (Commissioner RSHQ) or Mark Stone (CEO RSHQ) why the name Grosvenor is a Voldemort like taboo; and why the said Inspectors never gave evidence at the Grosvenor Inquiry.
All I can say is the apparent whitewashing of Grosvenor and the recent appalling safety record of the Queensland Coal Industry at the official Safety and Health Conference is an absolute disgrace.
It is an insult to those that have lost their lives in the last 3 years, the workers at Grosvenor, their family and friends.
