Grosvenor Mine Re-Entry Plan. Where is it up to? Its been over a month since you sought permission from the Mines Inspectors.

It has been well over a month since Grosvenor sought permission to re-enter the Mine.

Media Reports from the 19th of February include a statement from the Mines Inspectorate

A spokesperson for Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) said the mines inspectorate had spoken to Grosvenor about the conditions under which a re-entry could happen.

The mines inspectorate’s decision-making is risk-based. Re-entry of the mine and restarting coalmining operations may only occur where the operator has appropriate systems and controls in place to prevent an unacceptable level of risk associated with these activities,’’ the spokesperson said.

No media releases as of yet, so I must assume the answer from the Mines Inspectorate is that you cannot as yet demonstrate an “Acceptable Level of Risk”

I would bet that once there are no more Mines Inspectors scheduled to give evidence at the Inquiry (4 days time this Friday) that you will quietly receive your permission.

No Anglo Management are testifying either.
