  1. All well and good to post the HPI exceedances at Grosvenor, maybe post the responses /directives from the inspectorate for each one. The post can be construed as a continued violation to monitor and apply industry and mine standards to prevent reoccurrence or maybe construed as a lack of control by the inspectorate to monitor apply and enforce industry best practice for the prevention of these HPI’s.
    it appears adequate Goaf management (Gas Drainage, ventilation and support) is being neglected by both parties otherwise we would not have 3 mines in the Bowen Basin shut down because of spontaneous combustion or frictional ignition ( to be determined) within the past 4 years.

  2. Bruce;
    You have hit the nail on the head with that question. There are precious few Directives issued over the life of Grosvenor.
    It does not matter whether from trapping four men inbye a development fall immediately after deciding to stop inserting megabolts.
    Gas exceedance after gas exceedance.
    Inrush after inrush.
    The mine has not had the methane drained from the floor and roof seams and the ventilation system is incapable of keeping the tailgate of the longwall below 2.5% within a couple of hundred metres in the very first block.
    The whole gas drainage system, the design of the mine ventilation and the design of the mine is shown as flawed from the start
    I have started making a collection of the Recommendations and Suggestions the Inspectors make over time.
    The Inspectors have to answer for themselves which they can starting Tuesday
