Could Keystone Cops Do A Better Job?

Could Keystone Cops do a better job?

To use an analogy for a normal industrial fire investigation compared to a mine fire.

Factory Management turn off the fire suppression system, remove the fire hoses and extinguishers to the factory.

There is even written and video evidence of them doing it.

There is a smoldering fire just outside the chemical storage area.

Just to make it easier to keep the factory running, a door to the outside is opened to move the smoke and allow the workers to see.

Just to make sure workers do not get distracted what about making the flashing lights/alarms dimmer?

Factory burns to the ground except the administration building where all the records, and security footage are stored.

No one is injured or killed.

Now imagine if the Police had all the written and video evidence of the breaches, including fingerprints and DNA on tools used.

There are 400 factory workers at all levels who know or saw at least part of the story, but they are never interviewed

There is no decision to prosecute because the main and only suspects refuse to talk to the Police.

At least Keystone Cops ran around frenetically in an effort to do something and caught the villain in the end

If Ivan Milat was a Queensland Mine Manager, he would have been a free man.
